This was the day of gift exchanges in my parents' culture, and I love the logic of it: of course you give gifts on the day the magi arrived to see the newborn child. It tickled my fancy, and I drew a graphic of myself following the star, accompanied by several of my characters--the ones responsible for earning me the most money or attention that year. For several years, I reprised this sale and that graphic, but I stopped once I moved to selling entirely through retail because I no longer had control of pricing and couldn't really run the same kind of sale.
