I had read the Dreamhealers books a while ago, and loved them. (Calming and lovely, perfect for bedtime reading.)
I decided to give her other books a try, and bought the Her Instruments series bundle. Not soothing bedtime reading! - super engaging, darn-it-I-stayed-up-too-late again. Loved the characters and the character arcs so much, I ended up getting all the rest of her Peltedverse books.
Read these years ago on scribd (rip) and was so excited to buy epubs to do a full pelted reread! These books are so fun, one of my favorite slow burny space stories
These were the first MCA Hogarth books I read, and though they're not technically the beginning of the timeline, they're a good entry point for the world. In addition to doing a pretty good job giving you a view of the fictional universe and how it works, they're a strong and beautiful look at what it takes to be human, to grow and to change (even if not all the characters doing so are, technically, human). Highly recommend for adult readers, use your discretion for older teens, not for younger teens or kids, IMO.
